Amy is a fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapist, speciaising in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
Amy qualified from Keele University, graduating with a degree in BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
She has experience of working in outpatients, treating both acute (e.g. fractures/surgery) and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, working with inpatients on orthopedics and trauma, acute stroke and rehab and intensive care, where she was part of the on-call respiratory team, available to treat respiratory conditions 24/7. Amy went on to study a Masters Degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury University, where she studied alongside her NHS work.

Chartered Physiotherapists work closely with your veterinary surgeon, working within the guidelines of the Veterinary Surgeons Act, meaning we cannot treat your animal without veterinary referral. Chartered Physiotherapists have a minimum of five years training, firstly training in human physiotherapy, and then carrying out further training to gain a masters degree Veterinary Physiotherapy. We are fully ensured and trained, keeping up to date with current research and on-going training. Amy is trained in Physiotherapy-led Pilates through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). She continues to teach classes throughout the week, specialising in rider pilates. Amy has owned horses for many years. She has two horses called Fred and Ellie and enjoys competing regularly and is a member of British Dressage. She has competed at Regional Championships at Novice and Elementary and training Medium/Advanced Medium at home on Ellie.
